This building was built in 1883 under the architecture of A.L. van Gendt (also know from the concert hall) and was completely renovated in 1998 and split into 13 apartments. The apartment is located at the front of the building overlooking the Weteringschans and has access via the staircase to the communal garden.

Layout:
The apartment can be entered from the communal hall and beautiful marble staircase. Through a small hall with an adjoining toilet room (Axor/Philippe Starck sanitary) and wardrobe, you enter the large loft-like living space with the high ceilings of 3.75 mtr. and classic characteristic arched windows overlooking the Weteringschans (location south).

The sand-colored "Portuguese" slate floor (tiles 60 x 60 cm) is laid over the entire apartment and, in combination with the beautifully plastered high walls, they create a balanced minimalist atmosphere. From the living room there is an equally high passage to a separate kitchen.

The kitchen with Smeg built-in appliances has stainless steel fronts and a cherry wood worktop. In the kitchen area there are windows to the light court and there is a separate storage room in which the central heating system is housed and the washer / dryer combination is connected.

From the living room, a wooden staircase leads to the downstairs area where the bedroom is located with a half open bathroom at the front at the Weteringschans with a second toilet, bath, sink and shower (Axor/Philippe Starck sanitary). From the bedroom there is access to a storage room that is used as a walk-in closet.

Location:
The apartment is in a very popular location in the center of Amsterdam on the border of the canal belt, between Frederiksplein and Reguliersgracht, within walking distance of the important museums, concert halls, theaters and cinemas.

The Utrechtsestraat is around the corner with nice shops and good restaurants, the beautiful Amstelveld, the Albert Cuyp and Carré within a 10-minute walk. The apartment is also easily accessible by public transport (tram and metro / the North-South line) and close to highways.
